Ours is a people business... probably more now than ever, despite the advancements in computers and technology. There isn’t a day that goes by where we are not called upon to add that human element to an industry focused on timing, accuracy and performance. Our ability to understand the needs of our customers and to translate that understanding into performance is the foundation for our success and the success of our clients. I am proud to say that in an era of large corporate buy-outs and high employee turnover, it is not uncommon for our customers to rely on us to provide knowledge, understanding and stability to their logistics operations.

Since 1947, Acme has embraced the values of hard work and service excellence. While these are values that any company would embrace, it’s easy to see why it’s a way of life at Acme. We currently have over 400 years of experience in our management and supervisory departments, yet the average age of that same population is only 44. These 25 people are the driving force in providing unmatched knowledge and experience to yield the ultimate in service performance.

There is little doubt that the future of the logistics industry, and Acme’s role in that industry will revolve around continued enhancements in technology, combined with a solid base of well-trained professionals who know how to use that technology to get the job done. We all understand that offering a state-of-the-art warehouse management system is simply a non-negotiable component to our clients supply chain. We know too that any third party provider can buy the same software that we can purchase or make the same investment into virtually any material resources. Therefore, it is clear to me that the one thing that will ensure Acme’s continued growth and success will be our ongoing emphasis on hiring, training and maintaining the best possible work force. With this focus on a highly trained staff, we seek to provide that unique blend of capital assets and human resources that makes Acme and our clients successful.

We are proud to have met the challenges of the last fifty years and, with this in mind, we look forward to providing market leadership and growth throughout the new century.
